On 17 of July, as I was at work that morning, someone broke inn to my apartment in downtown Reykjavík.
Who ever it was, took all my cameras, all lenses and my Mac Book Pro "17, with all my work on it.
My backup disk was connected to the Mac, as I back it up during the night.
When I came home, everything valuable was gone, and the backup disk had been thrown to the other site of the room, and (ofcorse!! :@) the disk in it destroyed, with the "click of death" sounding out of it every 2 sec.
With most of my work gone, and no cameras ore a computer to work with, I wound be doing allot of work for some time.
The lose is about 3.500 euros ($5.000), and because of some small prints, I get less than half out of the insurance.
With all prices here at home (Iceland) going up every day, it will be hard to get new equipment any time soon. Plus I'm paying of allot of student loans
I have been thinking about starting fresh start, taking my old work offline, and starting with some new style.
But this was not what I was thinking about, maybe burying my work, so I don't have to loos it all... this is a little bit extrema.
